It really chaps my hide when I can't get the colors/details to come out in the pictures. I hate reading ''pictures don't do this one justice''...and here I am using that exact line. I am hoping you can see all the bells and whistles this one has. It's TOO cute!
First off, it's a baby doll style, with spaghetti straps that are lingerie style, so they are adjustable. I had them adjusted high for the picture since my jello mold mannequin is quite small. You can get another 2'' in the length either way if you can envision that.
This is a nice soft cotton, but not so soft and light that you can see thru. It's going to be hard to describe, but the bodice part is almost like a rectangle with the upper sides lobbed off on an angle where this goes into the underarms. I'm explaining it because all around that lobbed off rectangle is the most incredible cotton trim. There are 4 rows of it at the top. Then, another big piece of cotton floral trim goes under the bust and at the underarm. On top of it all, the bust is pleated-- so it looks fantastic. AND the best On the right side of the trim, there are 3 fabric rosebuds attached in a cluster. SO cute!
Past the last horizontal row of trim at the underbust there is soft teeny elastic and this goes all the way around front and back for a great fit. Additionally, at the back there are 5 ruched rows of teeny elastic so no gap at the back either! The ''skirt'' part is gathered and it has a ruffle on top and then a longer ruffle underneath. Oh and the color is jet black-- don't mind the pictures. I monkeyed around with the first and last picture hoping you could get a peek at the details on this one. It's cute!
This is a one size fits most. It's a contemporary fit, smaller than a Miss and a pinch bigger than a Juniors cut but these don't run huge.
Please view my careful measurements -- and these are taken across the front only, so be sure to double and then subtract an inch or whatever you feel is your own wiggle room!
Bust: From side to side at the top underarm is 18'' and you'll get about 3'' more inches of stretch there.
Underbust: At the elastic is 13'' but it stretches to 19'' and it's a ''soft stretch''-- teeny elastic
Bottom is full! It measures about 30'' across but it's ruffled so it's hard to measure.
Length: 24'' and you can adjust either way another 2''
